MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, received the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available in 2017 by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. Following that year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021, he was as a duo TINI for her hit stream song Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. In interviews, Turizo declared that music is a must. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and the ukulele, and piano. Although he initially wanted to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that taking lessons with an Cuban singer would alter the direction of his career.
